LOCAL INFO

Novalja is located on the Island of Pag and with some 3500 inhabitants is the second largest town. Politically the island is part of Lika-Senj county and geographically you can find the island of Pag and Novalja on some portals in the region of North Dalmatia, in others it is listed under the region Kvarner Bay.

The tourist centers are the town of Novalja and the town of Pag which has the same name as the island. In the summer months, these places are known for their excellent cuisine. Even the night life here on the island is worth writing home about. With the party beach Zrce, about 2.5 km away from the center of Novalja, Croatia can compete with all the other party destinations such as Ibiza. Top house scene DJs and great prices attract tens of thousands of young party travellers every year to Novalja, Zrce and the surrounding areas.

In the north of the island of Pag, you come across the island of Rab and on the mainland the town of Senj, located in the southeast is the town of Zadar, which is the fifth largest town in Croatia. In Zadar you will find the international Zadar airport. In addition, the car-free old town of Zadar is always worth a visit.

The main port in Novalja is located in the center near the Hotel Loza. This is where the catamaran connecting Novalja with Rijeka docks as well as the excursion boats. The depth of water in the harbor of several meters means that most boats can dock here. A little further is the modernized harbor for fishing boats and yachts which has been extended by a 100-yards protective stone jetty. For the more exclusive “small boats“ a new yacht marina is in the planning.
